On April 19, 2014 at Summer-Creek High School, 14000 Weckford Blvd. Houston, Texas 77044 from 1-4PM, Pastor Keion Henderson and The LightHouse Church family with the help of the ThinkZilla PR & Consulting Group team held their Easter Festival and Expo free for the entire community.
The expo serviced one of the largest Easter egg hunts in the city with over 50, 000 eggs for kids to run around and find. No child was able to leave empty handed after the festival.
Besides the eventful Easter egg hunt, there were many other fun activities for families to partake. There were moonwalks and sporting games for the kids, a live concert with gospel artists: Earnest Pugh, Brian Courtney Wilson, and Keith Williams & The Radical Praise Group, and a fashion show featuring styles from The Boutique of local designer Lauren Carmon
Many vendors, like Carrabas Italian Restaurant and snowcone trucks, were set up to cater to the public along with new urban hip hop radio station 93.7 The Beat and other sponsors who helped and donated to make this event a success.
Families enjoyed an eventful experience still leaving with their spirits filled with the Holy Ghost and an understanding that Easter is not about celebrating bunnies and eggs but the resurrection of Jesus Christ. CGM
